Mason here with todays blog!
We woke up packed and ready to drive out of Craiova, but not ready to leave the Romanians that we learned to love and appreciate so much. After a nice homemade pasta breakfast made by a couple of us, we said our last goodbyes to most of the Romanians. Many tears were shed and a lot of us got hit by the sudden realization that we were truly leaving such a beautiful place and community, and wouldn’t be able to come back for a while.
We then drove off to Bucharest, where we got to stop for lunch at a mall and got to start to exhale. Following lunch, we dropped all our luggage off at our rooms we were staying at and went into the city of Bucharest’s “Little Paris,” where we went into a small museum, shopped around for souvenirs, and ate a nice dinner. The city was beautiful and showed lots of culture that was very nice to experience!! We ended our day fairly early at the place we are staying, hoping to get good rest before waking up at 4am to fly to Czechia tomorrow.
We are all missing home and praying for stressless end of the trip!
