  1. These pictures are so fun! Thanks for sharing camp with those of us on the other side of the world.

Tip: If anyone is feeling a bit homesick or tired, The Trip Mom (Pat) gives the best hugs!

Shout out to Leah for her uke skills and Hannah for her impromptu dance skills. Love, miss, and are so proud of you both! ❤️❤️

  4. Great pictures!!! So fun to get a glimpse like this. Pat, would you give Adia a BIG hug from us? Please and thank you! 🙂

  5. Thanks for all the great pics. I love seeing all the familiar faces and all the faces I don’t know. I can’t wait to hear stories and learn about those unfamiliar faces. Cade I miss your face the most. love you! Praying for all the faces!

  6. Love the pictures, glad you are having a great time!! Kip, the AC is great when you roll down the windows 😉 bet you know what it’s like now after taking a few Romanian bus rides! Praying for you all and for a great week at camp! Y’all rockkkkk

  7. Love, LOVE, L O V E the pics! SOOO many people at camp! I am just overwhelmed with this evidence of God working in such amazingly big ways in Romania! The passion, heart and devotion to mission of Open Roads has clearly worked. If I think back to the pics from 2009, 2010, 2012 and 2013 when our older kids went and then look at these it just shows the evolution of a growing FAMILY!

Love seeing your face Storm! I am missing it here…but so happy you look happy!
    Continuing to pray!

  8. Greetings from the San Fran Airport. We are awaiting our flight back to chi town. Last night we ate at a really good ramen place in Japantown but the ramen I ordered was spicier than I expected.

Grace: I’m watching Thor Ragnarok on Netflix right now but it’s not the same without you <3

Noah: I purchased a box of Rosemary and Olive Oil Triscuits for the road.

Matthew: Graduation is a good album. I shall be listening to "Homecoming" in light of traveling to the hometown of Kanye.

  9. Thank you for sharing the pictures! It’s great to share in the adventure! Praying for each one of you! Blessings!

  10. Great pictures; so good to see everyone. Thanks for posting them.

    Fam. News
The stools have joined with the rest of the house in a conspiracy to assassinate The Ambassador. Papers continue to haunt the parental unit of the maternal variety. The other parental unit is on an epic losing streak in his Tier X Sheridan.

PS: the cat hath licked my eyeball.

  11. Camp is underway
There seem to be lots of games to play.
    And worship with joyful singing
Hopefully lots of people were swinging!

    Smiles appear for everyone.
But camp isn’t just about fun.
It’s about Bible study, prayer and more
And helping people knock on God’s door.

Keep up the blogging (and the great work!)

  12. Hi friends…. Im coming in late I know, BUT YOU’RE AT CAMP!!!! I’ve been following this blog, and Blackhawk HSM Instagram like an overconcerned mother. Ahh yes, the good ole “flip flop who slapped my hand game”. Watch out for Mariana Sefa, she is so good at that game! I love hearing about small group time. It definitely can be frustrating to not be in on a Romanian conversation, especially when it seems like it is going really deep. But it is also so cool to know that our God is a God of all languages, so keep praying during these conversations, its still so cool to be apart of them even if you can’t understand. I’m loving all the pictures and the smiling faces. It is so obvious that friendships are forming, keep up the good work guys, your energy is contagious! a special shoutout to prayer team: keep rocking it, your prayer time is so powerful (also way to not be heathens in the eyes of Larry Brady). I love 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18… Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus. Andrew, its great that you are on program team again, it looks like you are using your chocolate catching via slingshot skills in other ways! Abby, I’m glad you’re able to wear a floral pattern on your headband since you aren’t able to wear our favorite saucy slitted floral skirt. Noah, I think it was a little arrogant of you to think you didn’t need to wear a fake mustache, te omor. Pat, have you learned any cool new Romanian words? Finally, can someone give Hannah a hug for me? Thanks. Keep rocking it guys!

  13. Matty G. We like the stache! Keep it for your senior pics. How is your sleeping bag working? Are you warm enough? We are at Uncle Larry’s house about to pick up Noah and head to Laguna for fun and sun. We love you more than you can imagine.

Love and Gratitude to all the leaders. Prayers going up daily for all!

  14. Awesome pictures! Keep them coming- so fnice,to see all the smiles and love !!
